Scarlett was born with natural blond curls and captivating blue eyes. She got a lot of attention growing up and always seemed to be in the spotlight. However, she was also a bit of a drama queen and always had to have her way. She very naturally choose to study drama in university, but also had a natural cooking skill and enjoyed showing off in the kitchen. She had a few close friends, but most of her relationships were short and passing, whatever suited her current needs. So, it came to her as an easy decision to move to a new town after her education was complete -- though not so easy to finally convince Samantha to move to Riverview with her.

 

Once settled in Riverview, Scarlett dove into the music industry head on. She started out small, getting a job at the local music theatre and gaining new friends with a similar interest in rock and roll. They started a band, aptly named "Scarlett and the Rubies", and began by playing small gigs in local dive bars. However, it wasn't until she befriended celebrity Kurt Shallow that she entered the public radar. Her celebrity stardom on the rise, Scarlett and Kurt were often seen in town together. Rumors spread that the two were romantically involved, despite the difference in their ages. After all, doesn't every young up and coming femme fatale need a sugar daddy? However, there was an unexpected glitch in Scarlett's plan when she discovered that she was pregnant with Kurt's child!  Scarlett was not fond of children, even her own, and left Rose in Samantha's care while she continued head on into what was slowly becoming a destructive path to stardom.
