Jean was a spunky child, all smiles with a perky disposition. She also had quite a bit of energy and directed it mostly towards sports and other outdoor activities. In college she joined the Llamas cheerleading team and actively sought to promote school spirit. She made friends quite easily but was not so lucky in love. After a nasty break-up she would always turn to her friends, one of whom (incidentally) was Patrick Raha - the widowered husband of her elder sister Desiree. He had become rather attached to her after Desiree had died and, as time went on, their affection for each other grew.

 

Professionally, Jean aspired to be a famous athlete though, try as she might, she could not get herself drafted. Living on her own in a small house with a cat to provide for and slowly running out of disposable income, Jean finally had to take a job in a restaurent. Thankfully, her cooking skills got her by as a chef, but it was not the career she had aspired to. As luck would have it, a journalist friend of Jean's inspired her to write a cookbook which (after being published) provided her a little nest egg of §10,000 in royalties. It was also around the same time that Patrick Raha finally proposed and Jean suddenly found herself (and Moonshine) moving into a large house filled with three teenagers and several big dogs. Shortly after she was suddenly fired from her job as Executive Chef, Jean discovered she was pregnant. She soon gave birth to her only daughter and spent the rest of her life as an at-home-mom raising her precious child.
