SPECIAL EVENTS AND OTHER INFO:

Flora was the younger of two daughters born to Henry and Paula Gardner.  She wasn't as pretty as her sister, Eva, but was just as sociable and made friends easily.  She never expected to fall in love with Michael Fleig (one of her university friends) and was surprised when he asked her to marry him.  After the wedding, they moved back home with her aging parents.  As Eva had no interest in taking over the family business, the responsibility was handed down to Flora.  Her father had always been a hands-on owner of the store, but Flora found it much easier to hire a store manager, especially after she became a mother.

 

After both their parents had died, Flora inherited the family house as well.  She raised her only daughter there, while keeping a watchful eye on the family business.
